Sport Blackpool

The government announced recently that it was withdrawing it's funding for free swimming for the Over 60's and Under 16's from the 31st July 2010.

Blackpool Council is extending it's free swimming for the Over 60's and Under 16's until 31st August 2010 whilst it reviews the options available.

Sport Blackpool offer a wide variety of sport and leisure activities throughout Blackpool across a range of venues.  Sport Blackpool operate three main leisure sites – Blackpool Sports Centre, Palatine Leisure Centre and Moor Park Pool. 

In addition, we also offer golf on Stanley Park Golf Course, climbing at one of our three climbing facilities and an outreach sports programme on several of the 19 Multi Use Games Areas situated throughout Blackpool.

We also provide a range of programmes including a health referral programme and work closely with voluntary sports clubs to provide sporting opportunities for everyone in Blackpool.
